Details: Beautiful San Francisco has been a widely popular destination for artists, fortune-seekers, and ocean admirers for more than 150 years. While guarded by the famous Golden Gate bridge, the city is famous for its diverse citizenry, Victorian architecture, iconic San Francisco cable cars and scenic views. Our goal was to capture just a portion of this beauty in a hand assembled, hand painted, and locally made topography map of the SF bay area. The Map includes many widely known details from the suspension bridges over the water to the deepest point under the Golden Gate Bridge. We also included icons to portray the different shipwrecks that have occurred in the bay area, along with labeling Angel and Alcatraz Island.
